Sonobeat
Recording Company no longer exists although its singles
and albums remain highly sought after by collectors
and Austin music aficionados around the world. Co-founder
Bill Josey Jr. left the company in 1970 to attend
law school and since 1977 has been an
entertainment industry attorney and business executive
in Los Angeles. Co-founder Bill Josey Sr., who
operated
Sonobeat as a sole proprietorship beginnning in mid-1970, succumbed
in September 1976 to cancer.
